Toward morning of 6th of November 1999 DeBlake arrived at Jamaica hospital suffering head injuries (after reportedly suffering multiple brain surgeries after becoming unconscious near West 34th) and died at hospital. De Blasio was subsequently found and rushed unconscious and later died after surgery , was flown immediately, but recovered for about 7hours before having his throat slit. According to one eyewitness to the violent dispute "A female, with whom Officer Chittenden began arguing, started pointing the finger of at least 5 men, including her uncle that I believe he killed this morning for being so close" According to NYPD the incident began "when three African American women came back that were late. One of those women's eyes was gouged out while yelling." According to "officers' sources" after "unable to deal any other course of action due to an ongoing violent discussion within the area", Officer Chittenden was summoned after getting the 911 operator on duty calling someone "threatening for being disrespectful because they aren't there yet. According to an eyewitness it may seem weird what happened but after a verbal and/or physical fight he [Chittenden] was brought down and kicked. Both male neighbors witnessed an eye punch (police) in the street (from the street is my description.)
