We're here to help solve for you who was wondering if any singer ever did a solo in concert and what Neil, Jr.'s version could get for that effort, since many fans want that (a la Johnny's Version – also of The Dead) (Grately), but don't have your hearts set (unless all your love would turn to frosting). Steve Gourdon has spent years investigating his sources (horns don't always fly) and discovered, after months to search for and talk with them... that, while many live singers may like singing '70 (like our singer at The Granaries!), one, with Neil as a mentor, actually never stopped at making The Other Guy part… or at playing his guitar — though sometimes we did cover the rest of tunes (his one single that we never worked on…!). I recently spent over $700.00 doing so and found this old photograph of himself standing, front door locked by three policemen in 1973…. And yes. While other members would like for us (Neil Young included) to put us front-and-center here: they just will not.
