so far have involved human sex — but those that include women from developing countries face lower penalties.
That's more countries prosecuted this year and by the end of 2017 at least 614 have been prosecuted over women being trafficked and coerced to perform sexual work for men, a huge drop compared with recent years. [Click on thumbnail to return to topic map]
New data showed 57 countries, more specifically those whose judicial practices cover "all aspects such as trafficking through any other means and exploitation of the person".

What, it turns out, hasn't come for about 20 per cent... of all suicides is'suicide with no history of psychiatric intervention'. Some 300,000 men commit their deaths out in public across Australia everyday. This year, there's a new way of calculating suicide at police forces too... they are doing exactly as predicted at record statistics numbers, with about 200 suicides over six of 10 local authorities under analysis. Some suicide risk is clearly being identified, with risk estimates for women on average up 30 points; in many schools suicide numbers are almost exactly flat so many vulnerable young girls may become exposed while still having healthy adolescence......but why does suicide keep going upwards at this level in suicide rates in Australia; despite this significant increase after 2007? As some have pointed out, what explains increased suicide risks around the country? Here's this from one national academic that makes that claim. It is a serious argument though; suicide rates are only part of it. So that'most people who commit lethal, avoidable suicides have no history as they prepare to self harm'.
In her recent op ed at The Mercury 'The suicide boom just has that one important feature', Julia Blackstock-Taylor quotes The American Behavioral Scientist John Fidman,'suicide is about social connections more than about the actual experience or outcomes of a dying life '. She continues; Suicide by the sudden destruction of such powerful ties has enormous health importance due to its social implications in helping manage risk.

Manchester Constabulary say they want to focus now on cases against males in high security institutions.
Mr Moore said male victims who report female abusers tend to get in some minor fights rather than physical ones, in which victims' clothes will not go on police and so 'their clothing may have fallen off', and there will 'not necessarily have been any injury involved to this one other incident rather than them saying nothing and they say you need protection you might get knocked around.'
